At this time of year 'winter vomiting virus' is doing its rounds. It is, as you suspect a virus (rotavirus) and will run its course over 3-5days. There is no cure as such, but ensure you are keeping your intake of liquids up. You can get a rehydration solution (Dioralyte) from the chemist if you are vomiting a lot and your GP can prescribe you an anti-emetic if things are really bad.

It used to only last with me that long as well, but I had a sickness bug a few weeks ago and it lasted for about 5 days, it may just be a bug thats being passed around. Just make sure you drink plenty of fluids and having your 10 month old son will keep you active. My 10 month old and 2 year old sons kept me busy, so it flew by.

Sounds fairly normal to me. I've had a virus recently, although I wasn't sick I felt it and did have diarrhoea. The whole virus lasted for about three weeks although I cleared up the diarrhoea after a day or so.

If you are eating I suggest stopping for about 24 hours, just take in sparkling water. The slight acidity of the sparkling water will help to cure bugs. It's also about time that you made an appointment with your doctor. You can cancel it if it clears up.

Mix two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and one teaspoon of honey in an eight ounce glass of water and drink slowly.
It works for me.
If it continues, ring the Pharmasist or NHS Direct.
