Actually, It's been a while ago that I've seen blood with my excrement. It's not like every time, but I do have it some times. Also it's been a week ago that I have some coughing. From my back ground health condition, I can say I was on a medication for 9 months. It was for latest tuberculosis, and after finishing my medication, I called my doctor, and he said you don't need to do any other test. Would anyone tell me if i am in danger or not?

I just went to my doctor and found out it was Shingles of all things I thought it was. Blows my mind, wtf? How the heck do you catch this?
I already had the chicken pox and the shingles but my doc said you can get shingles more then once and I am highly conatigious so I need to be like locked in a room so I don't infect people. j/k I am not locked up. lol! But, basically thats what he said to do. But, I have to work and I need the money? How long does it last? How many times have you had it? Did you take Valtrex? How was it? Side effects?
Thanks!

It's been "plaguing" me all day!

Illnesses and diseases, are they named after the people who first discovered them or treated them?

Like: "Hey Ma, Did you hear what Henry Gonorrhea discovered today?"

If not where do the names come from?

If the toxoplasma IgA antibody test showed 3 iu/ml, with normal values being <5iu/ml, what does it mean? I mean it is within normal values, but does the presence of teh antibody indicate some infection? IgG and IgM were both negative. How much would the IgA be after an infection, like after 1 month?

I also have a lump on the back of my neck and my doctor asked if anyone in my family had cancer. The lump was apart from the enlarged lymph nodes, which have gone down, but I still have the lump. i don't have a sore throat anymore, but now I feel like I am going to die. I don't feel right. I feel fatigued and full of anxiety and I have body aches. Question: is something else wrong too and is it contagious at this point ( I have work tomorrow) and what do you think the "lump" is?

I am not immune to chicken pox, I was tested when I was pregnant and told I am not immune. My mom says I did have the chicken pox when I was little though. I am over 20 and know it can be quite bad to get. My question is, I was exposed to someone with shingles, can I catch chicken pox from them, or would I catch shingles? Also how long after exposer should signs show up if I have caught the chicken pox or shingles?

For the past 3 days, I am feeling pretty tired. I was away for a week before this while getting maybe 6 hours of sleep everyday. I can still do my everyday activities including sports, but I feel like I want to sleep most of a time. I know that strep throat is also common during mono, but I only feel mild fatigue/tireness. Do I have like a mild case of mono?

It hurts very bad when I try to swallow water or soup or anything.. It feels as if there is mucus stuck on them or something.. There are white spots on them and they're inflamed.

I have salt water but I'm not sure if that will even help at this point. What can I do for temporary pain relief until I am able to get chloraseptic fluid to spray on them?

In a healthy adult will thrush persist longer if you do not treat it? Is it recommended to go and get the antifungal treatment, or can you wait it out. Also should you stop using the same toothbrush once you have had it treated?

I got pink eye in my left eye on Saturday, July 28th. I went to the doctor the next day and he gave me some eye drops. Then it went to my right eye. I used eyedrops on both eyes. It started to clear up. Then my eyes weren't red anymore. For a couple days, I still woke up with dried pus on the bottom of my eyelashes. Then for a few days, I didn't. Then one day I woke up and there was the gunky stuff in my right eye again, but it went away the day after. But even now I sometimes get a little discharge, and a couple days ago I woke up yet again with some watery discharge along my bottom eyelashes. I didn't get it the next day. My eyes weren't pink or anything though, so I don't think I got pink eye again... So, what's wrong? I have no idea why I keep getting watery discharge but no pink eye. I use eyedrops sometimes after I get it, but not always. Am I thinking too much? Also, is it safe to wear contacts?

constrictions. I interned as an addictions counselor and a hospital social worker so I know you can't diagnose me, you're not liable, etc. I just want your informed opinion. What do you think a/b a woman who is 44, has depression, anxiety, migraines, IBS, exema, psoriasis, melasma, an ovarian cyst...basically a plethora of uncomfortable conditions but none life-threatening BUT...here's the wierd thing...I NEVER catch a virus or a cold or anything that's "going around". I take care of people who have a virus or a cold and I don't catch it. If I have taken care of someone who is sick (ok, like my boyfriend whom I've kissed, etc.) and do happen to catch a bit of the illness, it's just a very minor version of it, and I never need to go to the doc. I just use some OTC remedies and I'm better. I think that I have an overactive immune system (people think I'm lucky) but isn't that what leads to your own cells turning on you, as in cancer? Any medical opinions would be appreciated. Thanx.
