You can go to www.institutedc.org
and download a 35 page booklet about prescriptions and where to get them if you are having difficulty paying for your prescription medications.
They have the prescription names both brand and generic, and a telephone number under each where you can call and see if you qualify for either a free or low cost prescription.
Most pharmaceutical companies will give these drugs away free to needy people, or at much lower cost, but they do not
advertise. So, many people do not know about this.
If you are below the poverty level to 65,000.00 a year you may qualify for these prescriptions.
I assume you will have to prove to these people that for what ever reason, you cannot afford to pay for these medications.
I believe there are in the office to answer telephone calls from 9 to 5, monday through friday.
Hope this helps, many people are on fixed incomes, make minimum wage or out of work and can't afford their medication.

The past few months my blood sugar problems seem to be getting worse. If I don't eat every 2-3 hours, I get dizzy, sweaty, a bad headache, anxious, blurry vision, and feel like I can't think straight. After I eat, I feel better, but it only lasts for about 1-2 hours and then the whole cycle starts all over again. It is getting in the way of my day to day life.

I've had this problem for most of my life, but it seems to be getting worse over the past few months (I'm 26). My appetite varies from day to day. Hungry all the time one day and not hungry at all the next. I'm not losing any weight or having an increase in thirst. Both of my (overweight) parents are type 2 diabetics, but I am not your "classic" type 2 diabetic (I'm only 102 lbs). I couldn't be a type 1 diabetic at 26 right. Also, I have heard of hypoglycima, but only in relation to being diabetic.

What do you think? Do I need to go to a doctor, or is this not really a big deal?

THANK YOU!

Hello thank you for reading my question and trying to help me.

My question is...Let's say I had diabetes but did not know. Let's say I started to have diabetes starting 2 months ago and I just don't have a clue. If I dont get blood work because I think I am fine.

Basically what will happen to you if you have diabetes and do not know about them? Like will I have a heart attack or pass out then I go to doctor they take blood work and find out? Or what happens to you if you have diabetes and did not know you have them?

Thank you very much

And I brought her in right away and she had to stay overnight ($400 later) I have to get a blood glucose monitor because her glucose dropped way too quickly which is why she had the seizure. Can someone tell me of some good blood glucose checkers and does it matter if it;s for a cat... also, what are the prices like? Thank you to whoever helps.

I was taking an ECA stack recently while I was training to get back into shape for Rugby after a 6 month lay off due to a knee injury. I had a routine fasting blood test which showed that my glucose level was 12(should be 4-6 for a fasting sample).
I know that this signals Diabetes but I am otherwise fit and healthy, with no other symptoms whatsoever. I am 6'5'' inches tall and weigh @17 stone but due to my frame and the level of sport I play I don't carry much fat.
My question is could the ECA stack have affected my blood chemistry in such a way as to cause this result?

dad has been type 1 diabetic for over 20 yrs and has recently been suffering with glucoma in eyes and we as a family have noticed a dramatic change in the way he works, he used to work all the time doing gardening and working in the garage in spare time but now seems to have slowed right down, he seems very depressed and he has lost alot of weight through mo fault of his own? he is having a breack from his injections as the injection sights in his body are quite bad and so he has been put on a new trial of like an inhaler insulin, but this has now been stopped due to lack of customers over entire medical board does this mean i wont have much longer with my dad?

i'm 19 years old, i'm an athlete, and i think i have diabetes. the past year i have been having the urge to pee atleast once or twice an hour and i am always lightheaded and in need of sitting down. lately though i have been unable to eat sugary foods because i get this feeling like i have too much sugar in me than my body can handle. also i notice that my body parts "fall asleep" a lot quicker than they use too.

i know these are all side effects of diabetes, but they can also mean other things. i'm very scared that i might have diabetes. nobody else in my family has ever had the disease.

what kind of tests does the doctor give you & can you explain what you do, not just the name of them? (sorry im very nervous... that's why i think i'm just paranoid)
