I have been an insulin dependent diabetic for 26 years. My kidneys failed in Jan. this year and I had to go on dialysis. I had a very stressful job and a very streeful marriage which both attributed to a high blood pressure problem. The high blood pressure problem along with the diabetis eventually got my kidneys. I do believe that if there had not been so much stress in my life that my kidneys would still be working to some degree anyway. That's my story. Good luck with yours.

there are opinions that stress may indeed be the most common reason people become diabetic. High stress jobs or family situations cause tremendous strain on the entire body, and especially the endocrine systems.

Stress will also prevent any good food plan, exercise plan or meds plan from working correctly to bring down the glucose numbers.
