freind told me they had cancer cervical and breast but did not go for there last 2 treatments and drank the next day after kemo no hair loss and a wonderful tan also went away to institutes on weekends to speak with some one on sunday's is this possibe i heard no

For several months now I've kept getting what I think is a cold sore on my lip, in the same place, everytime, it doesn't pop up anywhere else. My dentist prescribed me Valtrex to prevent the oral herpe from popping up, but it doesn't work anymore. I can feel a hard ball in my lip and it does hurt. I just turned 24 and I do spend ALOT of time in the sun. My mom just had skin cancer removed.
Am I being paranoid because of my mom's cancer?
Or could I possibly have skin cancer in my lip?

They told him he could live up to 2 years with medication and if he stops smoking but they also said he has a 14% chance of beating it all together. There are two things he needs to do the doctors told him one he needs to quit smoking and 2 walk. He hasnt even started kemo and he doesnt walk. He continues to smoke. I know he is an adult but he cant drive because of medication plus if he gets caught driving he will be put in jail for 2 1/2 years from so many dui's in the past. He doesnt have a drinking problem anymore however since he cant drive i figure if i got with his wife and me and her made a choice to stop driving him to get his smokes as well as everytime we see a smoke we throw it away. If he wants to kill himself that bad i figure let him walk and at least by that he is doing one thing the doctor told him to do. My question is after a heart to heart if he doesnt take us seriously should i do this? He will be angry and i understand that and im willing to go threw it with

The abdominal/pelvic CT scan with contrasts states small foci of decreased attenuation measuring up to 7mm of the liver. Punctate foci of high attenuation of the kidneys and foci of decreased attenuation in the ovary measuring up to 2.2 cm. The patient has a small lump underneath the right ribcage and RUQ pain radiating to the right flank area and all on the right side for about two months. Positive history of cancer. Father had kidney cancer. I am being sent to a surgeon. They would more than likely do a liver biopsy, right? Any opinions? Thanks so much. Getting ansy.

I don't remember. Time is such a wild concept. If you think about matters like this too often, can you possibly get cancer? I'm wondering because I've heard that just the air you breathe can cause cancer, so be default, it seems that every question could somehow be related to cancer?

My mum was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and she is feeling terrible! What diet for her ?
I am wondering can she take herbal now like chicken essence, bird nests etc? Some people say cannot cos it might make the cancerous cell even stronger.. I am really at a loss now.. I saw my mum so weak after her chemotharapy and she complain of the side effect she having now.. My heart really break so hard! How I wish I can subsitute her ! I was wondering if there was any kind of cancer that could appear out of the blue (or be growing or becoming worse without the person knowing until it was too late), or just make a person feel ill, just a common disease/sickness such as the stomach bug or the flu or a virus or regular sickness, but when diagnosed, find out it is a cancer that is terminal. If anyone knows anything, even just a type of cancer, I would be grateful if you could answer. Anything you know I'm sure would be helpful.

I am interested in knowing how much discomfort is involved with no drugs. I have had 1 colonoscopy with fentanyl and versed.

If you are in the medical profession and perform or assist during colonoscopies...I would like to also know that if you are under conscious sedation - how does the doctor know you need more medication for pain? Can you speak or are you mostly asleep? I am trying to decide what drugs (if any) for my next colonoscopy. After my colonoscopy, the doctor told my husband that "she did fine. What does that mean - exactly?

you see my mother died of cervical cancer a few years ago and I'm really having trouble "how she got it". My dad told me that after giving birth to my young sister, the tools used for her surgery wasn't seralized enough and the last patient might have had HPV or cancer already( just to let you know me and my sister was born in the Philippines, a 3rd world country). I know my father isnt HIV/STD/AID positive. Plus my mom lost her virginity to my father and only him. So do you think there is a chnace I might have it in the later future too? Doc did pap, said alot of irregular cells, bleeding through period, pains deep in vagina, wart, but doc says will go away dont worry, called back to office , another pap, bleeding , but pap was done, now cant have pap until Sept, then says will send to gyney... do you trust this? and do yoy wait?

Hi all,
i had precancerous cells removed by loop or something? it was sin 3. I had op. in Feb this year. I gave natural birth to a prem baby at 25 weeks Nov.05 and unfortunately my boy passed away this year in April. Ive read some of the questions and answers in this website and i became very scared. I read of people dying ect.. cant it be treated if you get the cancer and survive? Will i get it again do u think? I had my 6 month check up from Feb. just 3 weeks ago and it was all ok. My doctor said wont need to c me until next July 07. Im scared after i read this info. To tell u the truth i dont even know what it all means and where i stand. I was going through too much trauma at the time. I also lost my mum just 2 months ago. Will i be able to go through another pregnancy do you think as ive already had a prem baby and then had the cells removed? pls help me, what can i do to try and prevent this from coming back? Ill do anything?

My father was diagnosed Yesterday of having BRAIN TUMOR sized 2.1 x 2.8 x 2.9 cm. iM kinda paranoid now.I just cant believed my dad is having this serious illness which we never expect since no one in my family background having this disease.Just ma father.But we dunno yet what really the final diagnosis if its benign or malignant.we still waiitng for hes laboratory test before we go to an internest! HEs complaining of vision problem so we thought he has a cataract but then the doctor said hes cataract is small thats why he had undergone CT-Scan and there they found a mass on hes brain,the tumor.is thre lot of people died because of that? or do they survive fighting thier illness? what about my dad,any idea? you think he can survive on that tumor size i mentioned above? does it matter on the size? as of now I must be strong and fight!
