My father was diagnosed Yesterday of having BRAIN TUMOR sized 2.1 x 2.8 x 2.9 cm. iM kinda paranoid now.I just cant believed my dad is having this serious illness which we never expect since no one in my family background having this disease.Just ma father. But we dunno yet what really the final diagnosis if its benign or malignant.we still waiitng for hes laboratory test before we go to an internest! HEs complaining of vision problem so we thought he has a cataract but then the doctor said hes cataract is small thats why he had undergone CT-Scan and there they found a mass on hes brain, the tumor.is thre lot of people died because of that? or do they survive fighting thier illness? what about my dad,any idea? you think he can survive on that tumor size i mentioned above? does it matter on the size? as of now I must be strong and fight!

Wait to find out if this is benign or malignant or not. Another factor is where on the brain is this tumor? It may be localized in an area where surgery can be done. Don't give up on hope and don't put a lot of energy on the " what ifs" because you can drive yourself crazy with all that. Hang in there. .. I have a friends daughter who is going thru the same thing...Just pray, hope for the best out come. Thats all you really can do at this point... Good Luck to you and your family.

It can be so scary when someone you love so much has any cancer. I will pray for the best. That said, you should wait for the results before you panic. People survive all sorts of cancers, and some have even been "miracles", where even the Doctors didn't hold out much hope.... yes, stay strong. Do more Research, spend time with your dad... and yes, size matters... But wait for the results, write down EVERY question, even little ones, like How do you spell it?... and talk to the Doc... Often. Stay on top of the info... But mostly, I'd say, Ask your dad what he'd like you to do...

Yes, you must be strong and fight and so should he.
My dad died in 1998 from two brain tumors. That was my dad and not yours, though. Wait and see what the Drs. have to say before you worry yourself.
My cousin had a gigantic brain tumor. Her husband found her laying in the yard, and picked her up to take her to the ER. That's how she was diagnosed. That was in 1995, and she is still kicking.
I think a lot of it depends on where the tumor is located, and whether it is operable. IF it is cancer... it will also depend on the type of cancer as well.
He will be in my prayers. I hope everything turns out alright.
next day...
Okay, baby. I'm still praying.

I'm sorry I can't help more, but for now let's just pray to whatever higher power you believe in that this is not malignant.
I know you're really desperate for answers but until the lab tests are in....well...not a lot anyone can say.
When you know what you're dealing with there are lots of websites and libraries that can give you specifics.
Tonight just try and breathe and think positive. I'll be thinking about you. Take care sweetie and all the best for your dad.
