I had cancer and I don't now so yes, it can be cured. I agree there are a lot of people who think the US Government has a conspiracy on holding back medicines that can cure cancer so they can make more money. It's all a lot of balderdash. There is no conspiracy. Cancer takes many forms, some types respond well to treatment and some don't. What is good news in Cancer research is that they can now customize some treatments based on the individual patient's genetic makeup.

I'm not sure what's up with the conspiracy theorist above. But - yes, some cancers are curable. It depends on what type of cancer you're talking about, where its located, and how advanced it is (like how big the tumor is). There are many effective therapies out there, with new ones in research right now. Breast cancer is considered "cured" when you've been cancer free for 5 years after treatment, and so is colon cancer - I know two people who developed cancer and are now cured.

On the other hand, some cancers have a very high death rate - specifically, some of the cancers of the blood and brain are particularly deadly, and we don't have great treatments for them.

Just FYI - all cancers are, by definition, malignant.

No, if breast maximum cancers grow to be cured, no longer all cancers could be cured. there are various different forms of maximum cancers and that they do no longer seem to be all the comparable. it incredibly is why the comparable therapy isn't given for each. that's why there are various chemotherapy drugs, by way of fact no chemotherapy drug is effectual against all forms of maximum cancers. some cancers are no longer gentle to chemotherapy or radiation therapy. it incredibly is likewise why distinctive progression has been made in treating some cancers (infants acute lymphocytic leukemia, prostate maximum cancers, testicular maximum cancers in basic terms for example) and there has been little progression with others (i.e., pancreatic maximum cancers, the techniques tumors glioblastoma multiforme and DIPG). Researchers are engaged on centred remedies - designed enormously to easily right what is going incorrect with the cells specially forms of cancers. some centred remedies are already in use.

Some cancers can be cured, but they are several types that are incurable, with these all they can do is just give you a bit more time.

My sister-in-law is battling Mesothelioma cancer right now, its cause by asbestos and there is no cure for it.

Many, if not the majority, of cancers are curable if caught early. Among the bad actors are: glioblastoma multiforme (high grade brain tumor), adenocarcinoma of the pancreas, high grade ovarian cancers, soft part sarcomas, some types of lymphomas and acute leukemias. Skin, breast, lung, prostate, cervical, endometrial, colon cancers are not a death sentence if caught early.

Yes. And the BAD thing is, that the FDA will not approve drugs that are KNOWN to cure it because it makes them more money to keep you sick. Its the saddest thing I ever learned in college Nursing and medical books
