I had an ovarian cyst about two years ago. My sister has PCOS and there's a good chance that I have it as well. I'm more concerned that I have a possible tumor though. I looked up the symptoms for ovarian cancer and I have almost all of them except for maybe one or two. I'm really scared. I'm only 17 and I have no idea how to approach my parents about it. If I do have something wrong with me though, I don't want to wait until it's too late to try and get help. I also have symptoms that could possibly just be another cyst, although I did just get my period so I don't think that it could be a cyst. It could even be uterine prolapse, but those symptoms aren't the same as the gassy, abdominal pain and back pain I usually have particulary the week before and the week after my period. I also have a lot of underarm perspiration. Could this be another sign? Mostly I'm just scared that it might be to late and though I'm a strong Christian and I understand that there is a reason for everything.

I've been diagnosed with breast cancer and am having a mastectomy followed by chemo and radiotherapy. I have the option of reconstruction at the same time but am worried about the effect of radiotherapy on it. Can anyone offer me their advice or tell me their experience of the whole thing? It's obviously worrying and nerve-wracking and i'm trying to make a decision.

My dad (age 55) had a prostate test and his PSA levels were high. He was referred to a urologist for a biopsy, were still waiting on the results. I just want to know what the liklihood of it being cancer is. Do high PSA levels mean it's most likely cancer?

Hearing conflicting treatments for ovarian cancer -- A 24 year old co-worker has announced that she was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and is receiving radiation treatment three times a week. I thought that radiation therapy is rarely used as treatment these days since it is such an aggressive type of cancer and that surgery and/or chemotherapy are the best options. I have friends who have ovarian cancer and never receive just radiation, especially three times a week (the girl at work goes at 6:30 AM and goes straight ot the office). I would hate to think that she is making up the entire story so I'm just curious if this is accurate.

I've noticed that whenever someone posts a question about cancer or cancer treatment there's always someone saying that doctors are liars, chemo and surgery are just ways for doctors to make money etc.
I was just curious, how many people acutally believe that stuff?

I'm going in on Monday for biopsies. My symptoms are beem upper abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. They originally thought that it was my gall bladder, but other tests have ruled that out. My doctor told me to prepare for this as a diagnosis. We had thought that it may be ulcers, but the doctor said that I would have had some instances of blood in my vomit (I know its gross). Should I be worried?

Doctors are talking about salivary gland cancer in my husband,I looked it up on the internet and I am devasted. I cant bear the thought of my husbands face being disfigured..or his not being able to eat properly nor to lead the life he has been used to. nor his life expectancy. I am winding up my affairs because if he goes I want to go too. There is no way I want to stay around if he is not here.
