Although you can not "rule" out cancers with CBC's or other blood work you can tell if the cancer may have spread.
My dad was anemic so they did a colonoscopy and found the cancer early-he is going on 6 years clear.
Early detection includes a variety of tests-some different for men and women. If you have a family history of have fear, concerns, or symptoms that trouble you talk to your doctor about doing other preventive tests.
If they dont take you seriously -go to another Doctor-we know our bodies, dont let the doctor who sees you for 5 minutes make
all the decisions!!!!knowlege is POWER

You can rule out all tumours except that of urinary tract and of blood cancers on blood picture.
However there are others which can be rule out choriocrcinoma by level of chorionic ganadtrophins in urine and blood or a positive finding is possible if the tumour is there.

you can't rule out cancer from blood or urine tests... certain cancers at different stages produce markers which can be detected in the blood but this is not always the case

When my son was diagnosed his blood tests were all clear, yet he had somewhere between 20 and 30 tumours throughout his body shown on ultrasound. He died two years later.
