I hope you are not spreading quackery.

Don't believe it. People have been claiming the cure to cancer for centuries. Often the claim is from some far off place. So, it sounds exotic.

The fact is cancer is not one disease. Cancer is a generic term for the symptom of rapid uncontrolled growth of cells. Obviously, we don't say we have the treatment for the "cough", "sneeze" or the "itch". The underlying condition is what is treated whether it be an infection for coughs and sneezes to a bite or allergy for itches. The same is true for cancer. Each cancer is the result of a specific set of genetic mutations to the affected cells. The location of the cancer (organ effected) also is considered in the treatment because of the conditions unique to that cell type. For example, the tumor supressor gene p53 is mutated in many cancers. The possible treatment to counter this may be different depending on the organ.

Cancer will only be cured if at least 1 of these 2 conditions is met:
1) Kill all cells that are cancerous (can be difficult with current technology)
2) Fix the underlying genetic mutations which cause the cancer

An analogy, if your car is having problems, you can either remove the troubled part (approach #1) or leave the part in and attempt to fix it (approach #2).

No! Cancer is many diseases not one. Until they know what causes it they can't cure any cancer. That myth has been around for ever.
They have many treatments which have helped people to live longer with a good quality of life. Much has been done in the last 20 years. But NO Cure.
There are those that also believe pigs flys too. the same people who wrote that article.

I haven't looked at the link you provided. But YES! I had cancer over 8 years ago and the Doctor told me that surgery would be coming if the drugs didn't do the trick.

I was 27 at the time so it was a wake up call. Although I suspect that if I had been 72 it would have been a shock to hear the word cancer in the Dr. office as well.

Long story short. I healed myself. I passed on the drugs and never got the prescription filled. Although I kept the scribble around for a few years as proof I'm pretty sure I threw it away because my mere existence today is all the proof I need and I feel absolutely no desire to prove anything to anyone else.

I never had surgery and, in fact, I avoid Doctors with a passion and have definitely chosen to take the path less traveled. I chose then, and am still choosing, to take full responsibility for my own health. I don't even have health insurance because I choose not to pay for something I don't need.

I laugh, not hysterically mind you, whenever I hear about how we need to address the serious problems regarding health insurance. Hillary Clinton's health care proposals are simply a joke to me.

We have no health insurance crisis in America. We have a health care crisis in America. I won't bother to preach to you about what you may or may not be doing to your body in terms of health and well being.

If you want the truth you will find it without my words getting in the way.

The bottom line is the bottom line. Someone else's bottom line that is. There are people who depend on millions of people doing what they're already doing. Pharmaceuticals, Doctors, Hospitals, and Labs are only a the tip of the iceberg. If you knew what I know you would know how many jobs would be "lost" simply if people took a moment to think for themselves.

If you're looking for health care solutions in the form of drugs or surgery you're looking in the wrong direction. It's a paradox. The modern medical establishment is a big bandaid. They mask the symptoms by treating the effects of dis-ease rather than the cause. The first question you have to ask, and answer, if you are to find the truth about health is what causes whatever dis-ease you have? Fortunately, this was the first question I asked the idiot Doctor who wanted to give me drugs and surgery.

His answer was priceless. "WE DON'T KNOW!" When my 15 year old truck breaks down (that'll be a while longer than your vehicle) my mechanic can tell me exactly what caused the failure. And he's what most people would call uneducated.

I've said far too much here already but sometimes people confuse education with understanding, knowledge or wisdom and sometime people pay homage to experts when what they "think" is complicated is so incredibly simple if you'll open your eyes.

The price of dis-ease is phenomenal. The cost of health is priceless. The door is open.

For those of us dealing on a daily basis with cancer . . hate to say this, but we see this type of so called 'miracle' drug pop up all the time. The media gets ahold of it and than it spred through the population that has no idea what cancer is all about . . so, for me I withhold any type of enthusiasm until this can be proven effective in over 200 types of cancer. Otherwise it is just another treatment that remains to be tested . . it will probably never live up to the hype. (Gleevac was the other hyped up drug . . as well as Herceptin . . neither of those drugs were in the least bit effective for my sons type of sarcoma . . but they did treat specific diseases).

Cancer is a complex set of over 200 diseases. There isn't one single 'cure'.

So, let the drug or 'new cure' run through the paces and provide the evidence that it needs to help people. If it works . . great . . but if it turns out to be ineffective . . we'll know that too.

That's why most people dont' get too excited. We've heard it all before.

CANCER is not like other diseases i mean it has stages the earlier the more chance of complete cure and vice verse most of cancers can be cured if detected early and this usually necessitate surgery ...however recurrence rate is hi and we talk about 5 years survival ....i don't think there is a medical curative treatment for cancer

Do you actually believe everything you read? Has this been scientifically proven to be tested on 42,000 patients for each type of cancer out there as cancer drugs have? Do they have $10mil. to do this kind of testing to prove this? Try again.
