what would you do to treat someone that has cancer and is coughing up blood but you are at home...somewhere where there are limited supplies????

Call the hospital and tell them you want to speak to the doctor on call from palliative care. Even on weekends, they will call the doctor and he will call you back. Remember if it is serious you call the ambulance so you can get help. If you drive to the hospital you may have to wait . We had to wait for three hours in excruciating pain.

If I was a doctor at home, I would send the patient to hospital!
