a few years back 2001 or so the doc found a lump on my throat and had xrays done and they found the mass they told me they wanted me to come back in a year and take more pix of my throat well i did and it grew after them sending me around to a few docs one finaly sayed lets wate a year and come back and get a nother scan done i was also told that if i was a woman there wouldnt bc much of a risk but bc im not its some thing to seriously watch out for well i told the gie to goto hell threw a fit and left that place well its 2007 its visibal from the mirror and i an feel it it feels like some things pressing on my throat i suffer from unchecked depression and anxity and im scared to death of doctors i was forced to go last year to a head doc bc of a work related prob well the doc there seen my throat and i told him he told me i was crazy and that i had to get it checked out i told him to leave me alone and walked out whats the odds of me having cancer or will i stop brathing in my sleep?

I had a lymph node biopsy done on the side of my neck. It's been 1 week since the procedure.. and now it only hurts if I consume alcohol. Why is this?

It was both of their senior yrs in high school this year. his friend had been struggling with cancer for about a yr or so i believe and he had been on bed rest for a ccouple of months hooked up to all kinds of equipment and he passed away monday. My boyfriend is TORN his heart is broken to peices and i don't even know what to say to him any more. Last night we didin't even talk on the phone for 1 whole minute because he told me he was just too hurt to talk to anyone and he wanted to just be alone. so i told him i loved him and call me if he had any trouble sleeping or anything, then today he didn't come to school, he pretty much stayed home all day and slept i guess. I feel sooo badly for him especially because we were just talking about him about a week ago and how he was doing and now this.He's called me today, but its been pretty silent on this phone. He's so depressed i just need to know how can i help him get through and what can i do to help him?

Like any type? What if you have lymph nodes 4x their size in the neck but NOT tender, really drowsy, dizziness, slight drop in weight? what are other symtpoms??? (any lymph node cancer)

My mother is 52 years old and has been battling cancer for the past few years. She has exceeded doctors expectations so far however her body has recently stopped responding to chemo. The doctors are now going to put her on a very expensive experimental drug which has not been approved by the FDA and therefore is not covered by insurance. My parents do not have a lot of money. Are there any organizations that help contribute to cases such as these? I'm worried that my father will lose his house or land and will be forever buried in debt if he can't keep up with the bills.

I love my girlfriend so much, and we are planning to get married. She had treatment (surgery+radiotherapy) for brain tumour 6 years ago. since then her scans are clean. she is perfet now, but i knew recently that this could come back at anytime, may be soon, and could be more agressive. I am in a dilemma, save her or a potential family later. I just dare to say this jut now, but i love her. on the side something in my inside says, that i could support her with being married. but i am just worried that such a move would be devastating for her...and if not it could be for me! i am so confused. Do i choose her or my my future family? not mentioning the the mental pressure due to uncertainty, and the possible problems to children in future. I don't dare to talk freely with her, because she is confident that its coming is not possible. when i talk with her, i feel as if i wanna proof that i am right, this means her harm!!?

I have a bunch of swollen Lymph Nodes in my neck. I have been to the doctor and they said my blood count is normal and I don't have mono. However I do have a sinus infection. She gave me antibiotics for it and today is the last day they should be in my system. I was wondering if anyone knows if a bunch of lymph nodes would swell because of a sinus infection or only a couple should. My main concern is this cancer or a tumor or something serious that I should be concered with. I am just a very anxious paranoid person. Thanks for all your help.

My mom (45yrs) just recently developed a huge lump in the side of her neck,, ( huge!!) and then it seemed likeout of nowhere, she got 2 more not as huge lumps on the side and back of the neck,, now within 1 1/2 days a huge tennis ball size lump appeared on her head, with another one on it's way?... she's always tired, very skinny ( more than usual) but she is also a single parent of 4 kids with 2 small kids at home. We live in a small town with the crappiest health care and like everywhere limited doctors.. so if anyone has any suggestions or thoughts please share them. but please, be nice no rude or harsh remarks

I am trying to be as positive and as educated as I can regarding this cancer. My entire family and doctors, are optimistic because they caught it in its very early stages...but this is the more aggressive of the two types of lymphoma. My family live elsewhere around the world, I am alone here and although I have many friends who support me with this issue, I want to be part of a support group that deals mainly with this. I feel the more I know how to handle my emotions and self, the better I can be there for my father and the rest of my family. Please help. I live in San Francisco.

Yesterday I noticed a lump on the back of my throat (pharynx) about the size of a small flat pea, and the lump consists of 2 white lumps that look like whiteheads (pus). I do not have tonsils, and there is no bad smell. The lump is on a smooth part of my pharynx. I touched it with a cotton swab, hoping that the white spots were pus and could be probed out, but it didn't budge and felt like one hard mass with 2 white spots. It doesn't really hurt, and when touched with a cotton swab, I noticed very little sensation at all.

Does anyone know what this can be? I do smoke, but am currently on medication to help me quit. I do have a "smokers cough", and I don't know if it could contribute to this.

I am really worried and I do have a Dr.'s appointment next week. In the meantime I was wondering if anyone has any info. I do not have any other symptoms. If I didn't feel a slight twinge in my throat yesterday, I wouldn't have even noticed it was there.

the doc said it was "reactive armpit" she biopsied it but doesnt think the node is malignant. But now she wants a mammogram and ultrasound of the breast on that side. What do you think cause it the swollen lymph node?thanks

Cancer covers a wide spectrum of diseases. Heart disease, likewise. If there is a overlap, ie cancer developing in the heart, is it termed heart disease, or cancer?
"He died of heart diease" I hope I am making myself clear.
