My mother keeps telling me to eat less raspberries because she claims they will give me hives. The quantity I eat them in is 6-12 oz per day (really good sale going on right now). I've never had a problem with hives before and even though I don't really believe my mom I just want to be sure. Does anyone know if its possible to get hives from eating too many raspberries?

While mosquitos seem to be a mere annoyance for most people I know, it always seems that I get an extreme reaction to them. Each bite appears as a huge swollen bump and is accompanied by days of unbearable itching. Bites I've received on my cheeks or eyebrows have even caused my eye to swell shut for a day. I always use precautions, spraying myself generously with repellents containing DEET, but they still find a way to me, albeit a little less than when unprotected. Is there a specific allergy for certain bugs? More to the point, is there a way to prevent them or the reaction that results? This problem severely interferes with many of my summer outings and I'd really appreciate any help or direction. Thanks!

Hello, I can't breath to one nostril. It keeps on alternating from left to right nostril. Also my right nostril is bigger than the other nostril. this just happened a few months ago. Now I was wondering if Allergies is the cause for this. If not please give me a way to fix this. Thank a million in advance.

Okay, I really have ran out of things clean out of my room. I have my bed, vanity mirror and dresser, two night tables and all these things are clear and clean all the time. I have taken out all my curtains, blinds, have covered my pillows with allergy free covers, as well as the top matress. I covered the side of the bottom matress with plastic. I even slept with two clean and light weight covers. I have hard wood and dusted and cleaned everything. The closet inside my room has a door so I close it when I am inside. My room is so empty that I can even hear the echo of any noise inside. With all this that i have done I still wake up with allergies!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go inside the room and if I am there for a while I start sneezing or my nose gets stuffy. Anybody has any idea of what is going on????

Hi, This morning I was in lots of pain (I have a slipped disc) and had run out of Tramadol, so took 2 Solpodol tablets with my anti-inflammatory pill. Ive neevr taken Solpodol before, but have taken co-proximal and co-codemal.

Almost straight away I had a severe stomach ache, and my hands began to burn and itch. Then my feet. It spread to my torso, legs and face within a few minutes, I felt as if Id fallen into a load of stinging nettles, it was very hot and itchy. Then I had trouble breathing, found it hard to swallow, and was sick.

I felt really unwell, it scared me a lot. Tonight I still dont feel right, kind of drained and weak, my skin is tender but not red and swollen any longer, and Im exhausted.

Was this because of the Solpodol? Could it have been the Diclofenic? (Im assuming it WAS a reaction to the tablets, I cant think what else it could be?) Has anyone else had this with these tablets?

Hi, I've recently started drinking honey every morning..for around..a week and a half now? I don't really get pimples..maybe the occasional one if I don't sleep early or if I eat too much junk food xD but I've been breaking out..a lot. I've stopped for a day..to see what happens, but would you get pimples from it if you're allergic or whatever to honey? Anyone have the same experience?
Thanks~

For as long as I can remember, I have gotten an itchy mouth and throat (typical signs of an allergic reaction) after eating various foods such as: raw carrots (cooked ones are fine), celery, sometimes bananas and sometimes apples and the weird one, peanuts. I have to think that it isnt an allergic reaction because I would think that the peanuts would be more serious. Has this ever been heard of before?

We got our 2 cats together when it seemed she had become immune to a friend or ours cat. She is OK during work days but on weekends when she is home all day, she is constantly sneezing and sniffing. She does take prescription Allegra for allergies and we have an air purifier in the bedroom which helps some, but does anybody have experience with allergy shots? How often do you go? How much does it cost? How effective are they? Thanks everyone....I thought about getting her to try Zyrtec next, any other pills work for you?

I have been on Allegra 180 for a couple of years now. My arms itch so intensly that I have to put ice packs on them. I take Benedryl when it gets really bad and anti itch creams but it only helps temporarly. Now nothing is helping. Does your body become ammuned to Allegra and Benedryl? I can't take decongestants but sometimes the itching will make me go out of my mind. It is some type of Allergy. Nothing topical. Please help.
