My friend is taking the allergy's medicine. My friend has cough, and sometimes cold since last 6 months. Her doctor told her that she might have allergy or acidity. But, right now she is taking the medicine for allergy, and she didn't see any changes until today. What does she suppose to do?

Anyone else have a problem? I've gained a lot of weight and I am struggling to eat healthy because of it!

If you don't know what oral allergy syndrome is...

It is an allergy to certain RAW fruits, vegetables, seeds, spices and nuts causing allergic reactions in the mouth and throat. My mouth and tongue become swollen, itchy. It happens in people with certain tree pollen allergies, like birch tree. I am able to eat the fruit or veggie if it is cooked, canned, or dried.

I know you are going to tell me don't eat it, or eat the canned kind only. But, it is not as easy as that! The canned kind has a lot more calories, which makes it more difficult to lose weight! Cooking it takes a lot of time.. it has to be cooked very well.. plus, you lose a lot of good vitamins and minerals that way.. And it doesn't taste as good either!

I'm so frustrated...!

I break out in hives if I wear powdered gloves, but I'm fine with balloons, rubber bands, kitchen gloves, bottle nipples, etc etc...

What does this mean?

I always wake up in the middle of the night with a VERY itchy throat, nose, and ears. I also notice that during these attacks my soft palate becomes bumpy and I can run my tongue over it and it feels like sand paper. It drives me absolutely insane... It is the bane of my existence. I take Claratin and spray cloroseptic which calms it down only slightly but still drives me nuts. What can I do to stop this?

I think I was having an allergic reaction to the post surgery tape they used in combination with my stitches. I have red bumps and it was painful itchy... to the point where I had to rip it off... What is in tape that can cause the reaction. I have never been allergic to anything. I do go to the doctor today... but has anyone had a reaction like this before?

a sudden alergy or intolerance, i've never had this problem before and i'm in better health than i've ever been. i recently find even a little red wine gives me a headache, serious depression, aches in my legs and i get terribly congested in my sinuses. I'm a bit baffled as to this sudden change, could this be an allergy?

I work for a hotel and have alot of guests state that they need a non-smoking room due to being allergic to cigarette smoke. I was just curious if this is truly an allergie or are they blowing smoke themselves.

I have bad mold allergies, I have a swelled up arm to prove it. And other things like melons, trees except oaks, tree fruits, potatoes and more I think. No pet though. My mom had to get shots every week for her child hood and she is still getting over it. I don't want to be as allergic to the things but I HATE shots. Do I get them? I don't have that big of a say in my medical life cause Im still under 18 but I can tell my parents how I feel. Will I be tramatised like my mom? Or can I still take Binadril(spelling?) or claritin and which one is better for those kind of things? Sorry if these are stupid questions to some people. I also have to carry an epipen with me every where I go just in case.

I have an Intolerance to digest Lunch Meats, Spam, canned
meats, such as Ham, and Grape Pop/Grape Gatorade, which
contain Combination of Red/Blue Food Dye, HawaiianPunch
These type of foods/liquids, cause me to be ''drunk-ern Cootie
Brown'', and within a couple of hours, I require a trip to the
Emergency Room, as I experience, Severe Dizziness, Nausea
Vomiting, and I HAVE TO HAVE AN INJECTION OF
PHENEGRAN, and Recovery time is 3 Days, and I've had
55 of these spells in the past 20 months, trying to eliminate
foods, THAT CAUSE ME TO BE SICK.
I've since discovered that a Combination of Red/Blue Food
Dye, CAN TRIGGER SEIZURE ATTACKS, AND MIGRAINE
HEADACHES.
Sometimes I get hungry, for certain foods, but KNOW THAT
I'D RATHER "LIVE WITHOUT THAT FOOD", AND NOT
SUFFER, A "SPELL", AND BE BEDFAST/SLEEP FOR
10 TO 14 HOURS, EACH TIME.
Makes for a lonely life sometimes. It's hell enough for me,
much less than having a mate, to suffer too.
I don't give up on friendships....

I have had the worst allergies anyone could ever try surviving with. I have tried so much differnt medication that is not working. (such as: Clarytin, Dallergy Jr, Sudafed + Benedrill, and others.) I am getting frustratied. Anything work for you? If so then please tell me. I am only 14 so there is not a whole lot that i can take. Anyone willing to tell me what worked for them?

My mom has food allergies and she is supersticious that I have them too. The allergy is shellfish and she formed it later in her life---around 39 i think? She won't let me have any, but i really don't think i'm allergic to shellfish because i went to this place where they cook right in front of you, and the were making shrimp and steak and chicken on the same grill stove thing. And shrimp "juice" is bound to have touched the steak (which i had) so i really don't think i'm allergic. So my question is: Can my mom's allergies be given to me even though she formed the allergy around 1 or 2 years AFTER i was born? please no guesses, i want you to for sure know. thank you

My boyfriend and I moved into a condo in February. The day we moved in, I started feeling sick. By the end of the first week, I was extremely fatigued and having spells where it felt like my throat was closing up. I went to several doctors who diagnosed me with various bizarre things before deciding I had allergies. They gave me an allergy med and told me a bunch of foods that I should cut out of my diet because I tested as slightly allergic to them. So, now, I feel mostly okay, but I'm not allowed to eat soy, wheat, milk, peanuts, or corn. Because I can't eat anything, I'm reaching an ungodly level of thinness and I keep getting hemorrhoids. Our condo is really nice, but I really think I was happier when we lived in a shithole. Has anyone ever had a problem like this from moving into a new place? Did it go away in time? Should we move?

My 13 month old son has had some seasonal allergies. ( we live in kansas and between the wheat dust and rain everyone seems to have them) Anyway, yesterday he woke up and his eye was a little matted and today his nose is running and now has a low grade fever. He is not pulling or tugging on his ears, so I don't think they are an issue. Does a fever occur with allergies? We have been in the pool quite a bit, so wondering if perhaps just a cold.
