the best remedy for anything is your body's natural defenses - your immune system

Summertime colds are the worst and most of the time they start with an allergy to something environmental.
I reccomend taking Benadryl over the counter (follow the directions on the box) and acetaminophen for the discomfort associated with cold symptoms.
Take a hot shower a couple of times a day and stay indoors where the airconditioner cools the air.
Drink plenty of liquids. This will thin out the secretions associated with your cold
Since colds are viral and not bacterial, there are no antibiotics which will help. Basically, you have to wear a cold out.
Hope you try these and get well soon

Try Echinacea it is an herbal remedy for infections. It may take a couple days. The tincture is faster. If you take the capsules you have to take like 3 or 4 of them 4 or 5 times a day. Go to a health food store or even the ones at a Walmart would do good.
If it has goldenseal in the mixture that is ok because it is for infections too.
These herbs work on bacterial or viral infections.
