Okay, I really have ran out of things clean out of my room. I have my bed, vanity mirror and dresser, two night tables and all these things are clear and clean all the time. I have taken out all my curtains, blinds, have covered my pillows with allergy free covers, as well as the top matress. I covered the side of the bottom matress with plastic. I even slept with two clean and light weight covers. I have hard wood and dusted and cleaned everything. The closet inside my room has a door so I close it when I am inside. My room is so empty that I can even hear the echo of any noise inside. With all this that i have done I still wake up with allergies!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go inside the room and if I am there for a while I start sneezing or my nose gets stuffy. Anybody has any idea of what is going on????

Oh, that sounds really tough! Have you talked to your allergist about different solutions?

One thing you might check into is nasal cleaning, where you snort up a little water, and blow it out as hard as you can, about three times. Morning, noon and night.

You might also look on the internet for herbs that support the immune system -- because basically, allergies are your immune system running amok and attacking harmless things.

Good luck, and I hope you find something that helps.

Try an air purifier at night, but I would ultimately choose to see the allergist and be tested for molds. You could have molds inside the walls that you can't see or detect and this could be a likely cause of the problem. If your bed and the bedding is already encased and you have hardwood floors. I would focus on that opinion. I have seen many patients with mold exposure and they exhibit many allergy symptoms and much more.

Hmm...It could be dust mites. Do you have dampness in your basement because some people are allergic to mold. Maybe it is a product you are using to clean with? It even could be something growing outside the house like certain weeds. Do you have any pets? Just a few ideas. Is it just that 1 room only?

It could be your air filters. My parents have to clean out the air filters every 2-3 months to keep my allergies under control. Hope that helps!

I have only questions for you.

What about deodorizers, candles, cleaning fluids? Do you have any furs or leathers? How about an Angora sweater? Do you use artificial scents? Stuffed toys?

Has it been painted recently? Are you allergic to plastics? Finally, what is in your mattress, and how old is it?

Air vent dusty?

Plant in the room?

Detergent?

Do you have allergies when you wake up, while you're trying to sleep, or when you're in your room period? I get stuffy when I sleep in a room that's warm. Try turning the AC higher.
