My poor husband has just had a colon operation to heal an haemorroid and today started bleeding quite heavily again.
He was watching his diet very strictly but last sunday he had a lunch of junk old fried food at a Restaurant, I said to him not to eat it but because he knew the owner he felt embarrased to complain and ate it all. Could this have provoked a recurrence of the haemorroid? Thanks for advice

Hello, I am 28 yrs old, I started smoking at 16. I decided to quit smoking for a variety of reasons and so a week ago I stopped cold turkey. My cravings have gone down considerably, I really don't want to smoke, but my problem is that now I feel alot worse physically then before. I'm having trouble breathing, I feel some chest pain and I feel tingly in my chest and face. This is sometimes but the trouble breathing is pretty much all them time. Today I woke up and felt like I smoked 2 packs yesterday, just very crappy. Why is this, and is it normal, please help!!!

I need a colonoscopy but am uninsured. Colon cancer is prevalent in my family and I am long overdue for this test.

I can pay cash. Does any medical facility offer free, low cost or discounts for cash for colonoscopy?

Appreciate your input. Shar

...the fact that about 9 percent more men in the US develop prostate cancer than women develop breast cancer.

$550 million v. $80 million

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/articl...

Likewise, in Australia, breast cancer on average kills 2600 women each year

However,

http://www.prostate.org.au/pcfa-reso...n...

Prostate cancer kills 2,700 Australian men every year.

2600 women v. 2700 men. Yet the Australian Government, in 2004, through the National Health and Medical Research Council, provided $6.9 million in funding for research into breast Cancer. While the Australian Government, through the National Health and Medical Research Council, provided $2.5 million in funding for research into prostate cancer.

$6.9 m for women; $2.5 m for men.

Women receiving 3x more funding than men.

My question is WHY

Are men just not worth as much as women?
