Okay fellow skincare experts i face a terrible problem here. I'm having red pimple or rather pimples and mild acne cases growing on my neck and my chest. How do i clear them? For example, i do have some acnes and pimples on my face and what i did was to wash it regularly and apply medication, toner etc. prescribed by my doctor and my beautician. But can i apply my medication and stuff that is supposed to be used on my face to my chest and neck?!

Every summer I get dry, white and flaky patches of skin on my upper arms. I thought it was due to the sun, but even in the winter season they're still present. Can someone tell me how I could rid of these horrible spots?

I have heart disease and am on medication, and I just recently read that if you exercise on a regular basis, your heart disease can improve, but it also said that if you stop exercising, your heart disease will get worse.

my 90 year old grandmother had a routine check up last month. they found a lump on her breast so they sent her for further testing. last week we found out she in fact has breast cancer. the doctor is talking about removing her breast. she is taking it a lot better then any of us are. she says " well im 90 years old i have never really had any serious illness in my life and i have lived one hell of a life (her words ok), im ok with what has happen to me". she is so brave. i want to be just as brave. i have one of the closest families that i know. my grandparents are over all the time. we all do everything together. when im home that is. im deployed to japan right now and it kills me that i can't be home to spend time with her and my family. im scared im going to get a call you know those calls people pray they will never get. im scared and keeping it all in. i know that not good. but what else can i do?this is just one of the many stressful situations i have to deal with while deployed

Do the patient feel relief? Nausea? Nothing? Are there any delayed reactions? (Not talking about disease here.. just.. anything a person who receives blood might experience that the average person isn't aware of?). Do they feel stronger or lethargic? Is there any acclimation period when you take in a stranger's blood?

Someone in the Religion and Spirituality board mentioned their spouse was sick for over a week each time they took a blood transfusion. In your experience, is this statement an exaggeration about the effects of having a blood transfusion? Or could it be he was sick to begin with and recovering better than he would've without a transfusion?

I'm honestly curious. I've never had a blood transfusion and for most of my life having one was religiously taboo. Any information you have to share would be appreciated

Do you get any symptons/reactions when you get a TB test on the first day?
Feeling sick, dizzy?
I had mine today, and there is no sign of anything at the sight that the needle was injected.
Is this a good thing?

I've had acne for 5 years, and it has been bad for the past 2 years. I tried Clean & Clear, Proactive, and Clearasil. They all did a little, but would stop working after a few weeks. Now I wash my face when ever it is oily (aout every 5 hours). I determine if it is oily enough to wash by wiping my finger on my nose and seeing if the oil if on my finger. I use a face wash once a day.

I know I have to go to the doctor but I'm kinda sacared and don't want to wait to get to him to have at least an idea of what's happening. I don't eat a lot of greasy foods since I don't go to fastfoods or eat any red meat but I do eat a lot sweet foods. I am a bit overweight but not obese; it's like 15 pounds overweight and I'm 17 years old. I don't excercise much but I am not completely sedentary since I dance but just for a few monts; september-november and january-april. My grandmother did suffer from taquichardies but I don't know of anyone else suffering from any other heart disease in my family. I am a completely healthy person who has never suffered from anything and doesn't get sick often. What happens is it beats fast for like 2 seconds and then it goes back to normal; I don't feel dizzy or with blurred sight or any other symptom except for the beating of my heart in my chest, which is really uncomfortable.

I went to my doctor recently and asked if he could check me for hormonal imbalances. I was having heart palpitations, shortness of breath, tired, non-existent sex drive, dry skin, and not really losing weight despite months of working out and dieting. I have always been very thin..after moving to Indiana and having my second child I started having some weird symptoms like the dry skin and no sex drive. Any way..my TSH was high..they told me it was 2.9 and the high end of the range is 2.6? so they have me on 50mcg of levothyroxine.
I have several questions...has anyone ever had issues with a high tsh count and then had things go back to normal? any chance I am not stuck with medication the rest of my life. Also..I have heard nightmares of gaining 30 pounds after taking this med. It took me the last year to lose 15...I REALLY don't want to gain anymore. Between the medicine and the hypothyroidism is it even possible that I will ever be my normal weight again? How is life with Hypo?
