I mean everyone is going to die at some point in time. No matter the action taken death is certain in the end.

So can anyone claim to have saved a life? When I had CABG done last year, was my life saved or did the doctors only extend my life by an unknown length of time? Since no one can say when or what the cause of my death will be was any change made at all?

Are we lying to ourselves with the phrase "life saving"? Should we really call it "life extension", "putting of death" or maybe just "life quality improvement"? Or is it just wishful thinking?

These are philosophical questions I know. I just wanted some other thoughts.

i woke up this morning and the lower half of my left eye (of the inner area) was slightly swelled. However, the swelled area is not red nor is the area surrounding it. it just looks like i might of rubbed my eyes too much the night before, but the thing is, when i blink i feel a small pain/pressure in the area like it might be infected. Any guesses on what it is and how i should treat it?

Belching has bothered me for ~7 years. I went to see Gas. specialist and went thru all diff kind of tests. The conclusion Dr. gave me was Gallbladder problem, but the Dr. can't gauranttee if my gallbladder removed can take care of the problem. They told me it was not heartburn, acid reflex. So I have been carrying this problem for yrs. Sometimes before I burp it out, I feel like to have a heart attack because the pressure in my esophagus(like a rock stuck there). Now, I am coughing too, not all the time (I don't know why). Recently, I found out my blood pressure is high too.

have found little red spots on my skin (Stomach, back and legs). They look like little pimples, just red, and itch a lot. What could this be, and should I go to my GP??

there is grouse. So I am on here now. My concern is I have a family history of heart problems having an uncle that died from a heart attack about my age, I am 38, and a granddad who died of a heart attack too, as a blood clot traveld to his heart and he died straight away. My grandmother, died of a stroke as a blood clot went to her brain and the 3rd of 4th stroke killed her. I also have a brother who is 28 and a dad who has heart trouble. My dad has a pace maker now. Anyway my concern is my diet is horrible, I eat toasted cheese sandwhiches most of the time with lots of butter and coon cheese and lots of chocloate. I have a bad diet and find it hard to change it. Tonight while haveing dinner with my sister while eating chicken, I started getting buring pain on my left hand side of my boob that lasted for about 60 seconds. My sister was more interested in watching tv and all I said to her was I better stop eating junk. I did not tell her at the time I was getting the pain.

My friend who is in the UK has been diagnosed with high blood pressure, At first she was given an ACE inhibitor. That made her develop a dry cough. After a few weeks, I told her, I had the same reactions from those bp medicines and that she should ask her doctor to change the prescription. Noe the doctor has changed her meds to one of those sartan drugs, an ace regulator, and she is still coughing. All the doctor tells her is that she has to be patient! But she is in so much pain in the abdomen from all that coughing and she hardly sleeps at all. Is it reasonable to ask her to get a second opinion?
