I know that lysine is an amino acid, but I'm still a little leery of taking it for my cold sores (I'm 6 months pregnant). But if I don't take it, the darned things stick around for WEEKS! Is it safe to take?

My cats have the beginning stages of chronic renal failure. They are both on the prescription drug Epikitin.
The Epkitin is a phosphate binder to help eliminate the excess phosphorous from their bodies. I mix it in with their food. This will help them to live longer and healthier. Does anyone know of a natural phosphate binder, herbal or flower essence? I will be very grateful to find a natural cure for my babies. I don't take prescription drugs myself and I really don't like the fact of giving them to my cats. Ironically, it was prescription medications that gave them the disease in the first place.

I have heard people use that word all the time: Meditation is a great stress reliever,... meditation helps you.... Meditation does wonders, but once it came to that point nobody provided a clear step-by-step guide on how to meditate?
Does anyone really know?
Does it go beyond,- relax, inhale deeply, think happy, calming thoughts?

My wife has muscular dystrophy. She has almost given up hope on life. She is an inspiration and an angel to others and she loves life. She never used to be dependant on others for anything. Now she cant even get herself a glass of water or turn over on her side when she is in bed. But she wants to believe that miracles still happens.

I've wanted to get acupuncture for quite some time now. Without insurance it’s a little on the expensive side.
I was trying to see whether my insurance had ‘providers’ licensed to practice acupuncture. I wasn’t sure what to search under on their website.

They had several options such as:

Occupational Therapy
Occupational Medicine
Physical Therapy
