That means you should not give it to children. So don't give it to kids.

Thats b/c the FDA does not regulate what goes into a vitamin. Be careful when taking them and remember, you get what you pay for. That bottle of 1,000 vitamins for $5.00 may sound like a good deal but it's loaded with crap and it could harm you. The reasoning for not giving it to kids most likely has to do the fact that Vit. E is strong so childrens vitamins are scaled down. Long story short 10-12 should be a good age range. If the child is more active then 10 would be fine.

It's because the amount of the vitamins in a multivitamin are way more than a child or body of a small size needs. It would take a lot of effort for a child body to filter out the excess vitamins. If you cut the amount of vitamins in half (half dosage if liquid, half pil if in pill form) then the child will be fine. You do want to make sure that they are well hydrated, and kids tend to not really be concerned with that. A lot of water will be necessary to aid in filtering out excess. If they are under hydrated or dehydrated, they will just get thirsty soon after taking the multivitamin.

Just thought I would share... even though that isn't the answer to your question.
