Health - 20 October 2007

A couple months ago i went to the V. A. Hospital and changed my blood pressure and heartburn meds. About a week ago food started tasting bad like there was baking soda in it. It has gotten worse to where i don't have any taste for sweet, sour, or salt just the baking soda taste even in water. Is this permanent?

My friend has taken hallucenogenic mushrooms and is now hardly able to get his words out, it is very hard for him to talk, I can tell he understands but cannnot get his body to function. He has a complete loss of motor skills and complains of skin pain. What could cause this, this is no ordinary "trip" the shrooms were old, please help
