I'm a young woodwooder, and not too knowledgable on finishing. I just turned a curly maple bowl, and want a finish that'll "pop" the figure.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advanced.

Does anyone know where I can purchase Hannah Montana and / or High School Musical fabric? Tried Walmart - they did not have that. Any major chains carrying that, maybe an online store? Thanks!

Does this coin look like an error? I have heard people referring to them as "Starburst Errors". Also almost every one that I have heard of is missing the edge lettering too, mine are not. Does it have any value? Currently I have four coins like this one.

Do you have to use a pattern, or can you make your own?

Where can I find out about the proper materials.

Where can I get costume type patterns for historical type clothes for kids, if anywhere? Like a puffy lacy shirt or a buckskin shirt, or a leather vest, or a quilted jacket?

How do you make your own pattern, if possible?

Do you have to measure your kid? If they're growing, how early should you make the costume?

I've been trying to do a dragon on my arm with a needle (sterilised) and some ink. I'm not as good an artist as I thought though. How can I erase bits and redo them?

hello! I purchased a pretty simple, cheap bulletin board a while ago. It's one of those self-stick ones where you don't have to assemble anything. here's a link of the one i bought:
http://www.officemax.com/max/solutions/product/prodBlock.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&prodBlockOID=1611530658&expansionOID=-536905757

the problem is, is that it doesn't stick very well on the black/chalk board that I stick it on, in fact, it doesn't stick at all. The chalk board that I stick it on is clean and never used. Is there any way I can make mi bulletin board stick? I've used duct tape before but that only lasts about a week. how about that sticky puddy? Is there anything else I can try before I just chuck the whole thing and buy a different one?

thanks!

My Mum knitts lots and I want to get her funky knitting needles for Christmas as she saw them in a magazine and really fancied them. She has unfortunately recycled the magazine so I can't even look at that. Would really apprecaite any websites or any info about this! Thanks.

I collect cards and have a couple reprint cards and I was wondering if they have any value to them? I wish I had a Honus Wagner card. That is the Holy Grail of sports cards. I read today in a Tuff Stufff magazine. The most valuable cards I have is Marino and Montana rookie cards. I have a whole lot others but, those two are my favorites so far.

I have just given up smoking and am doing the usual eating everything I see and have also taken up chewing rubber (horrrible habit, but whatever helps, eh? I have decided to take up knitting again in order to have a more seemly habit, but my only problem is that I can't think of what to knit. I will lose interest if I just knit useless squares. But I don't think I would ever be able to do something bigger (and more useful), like a jumper. Can anyone suggest something manageable that I might actually want to have?
