Over the past couple months I have become increasingly interested in roborn dolls, and learning to make them myself. I've found a couple tutorials online, but I would love to know how other artists do it. I admit, I'm slightly confused by the purple wash thing. Do I dye it? Or paint it, and if I paint it do I paint inside or out? Which method works better? If you have any examples of your work, so I can see how the techniques differ, I'd really appreciate it. Please email me, The link thing is in my profile. I'm hoping to avoid the 'dead/bruised' baby look. Also, I like the idea of rooting the hair as opposed to a wig, but I hate the look of mohair. It looks frizzy and just plain odd, in my opinion. Is there some rule about not using human hair? Or is it more a cost thing ?(having gone to cosmetology school I know how pricey a human hair track can be) Any info or tips would be much appreciated! Thanks so much to all the genuine answers! :)

Is it legal to fly rc helicopters/airplanes anywhere? Do you have to get some sort of license? Is it possible/legal to take aerial photography from them?

i'm making my halloween costume and i need to get the velcro onto my fleece costume. Would school glue work? or should i wait till i can get fabric glue? then again, i could always stich it on... but that would take longer. i need to get my costume's progress going faster, because there is not a whole lot of time left. what should i do?

I'm making a costume for a masquerade ball this Saturday. It's a water-sprite costume. I'm making a panel skirt for the bottom which needs to flow gracefully. I don't have a pattern and no way to get one soon enough. I think I can handle the measurements, shape, etc... But how do I cut the fabric? I know that sometimes you have to cut against the way the fabric is made (ie, "on the bias") but I haven't done this in a long time and I'm not quite sure how to do it. Do I need to cut at an angle across the bias? Can anyone describe to me how to cut it? Thank you so much!

I am making what my younger sibling refers to as "mooshy pillows." I want to fill them with those super tiny beads - you know, the ones that explode all over your floor if you get a slight tear in the pillow. Anyone know where I can buy them?

I was a real fan of N Sync and have this huge collection of CD's, posters, and other types of memorabilia. I am really broke at the moment and hard up for cash. As much as I may regret it later I need to sell it all. Where is a good place to start if I want to make lots of money? Are there any good websites you can give me to research a little so I'll know how to price them best?

Is there any way that I can get an ink refill for my pen knife? I don't know the company that makes it, but I see that the knife is attached to the ink cartridge and I can't see any way to twist it off. Is it possible to even refill these?

Also, are these illegal to carry around, or bring to school for instance?

With tomorrow being fall break the school age kids at the daycare I work at will be there all day. I'm trying to come up with new ideas, crafts, and activities to keep them busy and occupied. I'm thinking of doing Halloween/Fall crafts, a few things I thought I could have them do are, Hand print wreaths, Fall pictures, leaf rubbings, but I'm trying to come up with other things-I want to set up different centers and have them rotate through each of them in the morning-then change the activities to all new things in the afternoon and have them do those. So I'm open to all suggestions!! Keep in mind it needs to be something that doesn't require a lot of planning since I only have until tomorow morning!

I've got Ace Frehley's signature on a rough leather guitar strap, but unfortunately I've got Joe Satriani and Steve Vai autographs on the strap as well. I want to take those off, and just leave Ace's. Anyone know how I can do this? Is there a solvent that will handle it without damaging the leather?

We found a tavern liquor license that has been rolled up with an 1876 date and it is very brittle. Is there a simple way to make it more pliable so it may be unrolled and eventually framed?
