I have a Brother Bicor VX1005 sewing machine. I can't figure out how to thread the bobbin. I was able to track down a manual for the machine, but the manual is confusing and the pictures are not very detailed. I've already wound the bobbin and put it into the case. The manual says the next step is to "pull thread into notch, draw it under tension spring and back into slot". I found the notch but where is the tension spring? The manual doesn't say and the picture is no help at all. I tried looking on Brother's website already but this is an old machine and there's not any information about it on their site. Does anybody else have this machine that could give me a little more detail?

I think it would be a traditional “X” wrap rather than a pattern. At any rate, how do you start the wrapping process and get the soutache to stay in place while you are wrapping?

I want to make something with the medals attached so they can be removed easily. As opposed to sewing directly onto the jacket.

Hi there,
I am hoping someone who knows a little bit about yarn can help me out.
I have a project that I have been working on forever with dry clean only fancy schmancy yarn. Last night I spilled red kool-aid on in while I was asleep. (I am a restless sleeper, and always thirsty) I totally forgot to move the yarn to a safe place before I went to bed.

Where I am not done knitting some of the yarn (read: most of it) is there any way to have it dry cleaned BEFORE I knit it, to get the kool-aid out?

If not, I am open to all suggestions about how to get the stain out!!! It was kind of expensive yarn, and I really really want to make sure it doesnt stain!

Thanks in advance!

Hello.

When my girlfriend and I were at the Renaissance Faire this summer, we saw some head dresses that were crocheted instead of make out of chainmaile.

Does anyone know where to find patterns for them? I saw some years ago, but haven't been able to find any lately.

Thanks for your help,
Robbie

Is there any place on the web where I can order a custom model of a truck just by sending pictures? My boyfriend had a truck for a very long time and did a lot of stuff to it. There's no other truck that looks like it around and he just sold it. I would love to give him a model as a gift. I need some help though!! :)

What type of heel is really the easiest? Also, what is the fastest way to knit a sock, toe-up or top-down? Any advice would be GREAT! A source for online videos...even better!

I saw a kit on Create and craft called "Land of dreams - Christmas wonderland" I bought the other version which was called Fairyland fantasy but now I regret not buying the Christmas version. I have asked Create and craft and they don't expect to get it back in stock in the forseeable future. I have googled both "Land of dreams" and "Christmas wonderland" but neither find anything related to this card kit. I assume these are the names given to them by C & C
I am positive Create and craft are not the only people in England to have this product but how do I find it without knowing who makes it? Or which company distributes it?

I've found out that iron-on transfers don't last long, according to what most people say, so I'm thinking of silkscreening or directly painting on the shirts. I'd like to ask what's the best kind of paint to use on fabric? All I know is textile paint, but I've been hearing a lot about acrylic. Any pros and cons for the two? And any other paint suggestions? Thanks!

Who exactly does this form of what you would call "entertainment"? I know that this type of thing does exist around the holidays, but I find myself asking " What would you make , would you sell the item, how much would you sell it for?" So to all of you who do this kind of thing entertain me as to what it is you do , this goes for the men as well, I am almost sure that women only does not apply to this one.

Also does anyone know how to make soap from scratch, someone did for my mother and it looks & smells beautiful.

Thanks.

I'm doing a course and have come to a section that I have no experience with. The question I need to answer is " describe how you would produce a good fitting knife-pleated or box-pleated skirt pattern". The text I have is not very helpful at all, but they are big on using miniature block patterns. Any help with this would be appreciated.
