I've found out that iron-on transfers don't last long, according to what most people say, so I'm thinking of silkscreening or directly painting on the shirts. I'd like to ask what's the best kind of paint to use on fabric? All I know is textile paint, but I've been hearing a lot about acrylic. Any pros and cons for the two? And any other paint suggestions? Thanks!

I don't know about the paint but I have used India Ink. You put it on the material and heat it with an iron and it will not wash out.

Unfortunately, the best ink has been banned because of its toxic content. However, there are many good ones on the market. Do not try to skimp on your purchase by using cheap ink. There is no such thing as a good, cheap ink. (Discounted is not the same as cheap. A good ink at a discounted price is a good buy.)

My favorite is PearlPaint. I suggest you buy a couple of kits from the craft and hobby stores, and try out the different brands.
