Will Silicone disolve Polystyrene/styrofoam?

Gonna be molding some Polystyrene/styrofoam shapes, and wondered if silicone would disolve the poly??

Can I just use the silicone you get in a gun from diy shops??

I've used Silicon caulking to join some extruded polystyrene-foam slabs before, and seen no marked "melting" or damage.
