Some bottles are made from colored glass, but you can also use glass paints from the craft store.

I just saw today in "Pier 1" ....(4) unique shaped clear glass bottles that had been colored with a clear colored material on the inside (for $12 for the four). Bright green, yellow, red, and blue. I have also seen clear colored paint before at Joanne Fabric that was with the stained glass supplies to color glass. I saw that about a year ago. I haven't been back since...so I don't know if they carried it routinely. I am sure they could only be for decorative purposes after that tho.

Try some hobby stories maybe...that is all the ideas I have to offer. My best answer! Good Luck!

I would put the paint in the bottles and swirl it around so that it splatters all around inside it.

you can use "Pebeo" glass paints available at craft stores, Paint on with a paint brush and bake in the oven (directions on container)- its dishwasher safe and looks great!

or do what my great grandmother used to do- put colored water in them!! (use distilled water and food coloring. the distilled water prevents it from getting funky)

have fun!
