I have a quilt that I got when I was 8(20 years ago) Our house had burned completly to the ground shortly after christmas. One of the things I was most upset about was my grandmother had made me a dutch girl quilt and I had slept with it on my bed since I was 2. My grandmother had passed away and it was a keepsake thing for me. Well one of the ladies in our church had one and gave it to me. Even though it isnt the one my grandmother made me it still makes me think of her when I see it and I also rember the generosity of the lady who donated it to me.

I guess I'm not one for antiquities - I've got a couple bad condition comics from the 60's or so, that my dad never threw away. I bet I've got pennies in my penny jar that are older than that anyway.

Several coins, mainly pennies, from 1780s - bought them in street markets (like Caledonian Road in London) and one literally fell out of the hedge at my mother-in-law's cottage..

My oldest posession is my grandmother's teaching bible. It was presented to her in 1913...even has her maiden name written in it with the date! She gave it to me because I was the only granddaughter who went to church regularly. I am now a minister!

I have a bed that my great-grandparents brought over from Scotland. I got it from storage when I moved into my own apartment. It is very nice.
