I know that gift wrapping is not that serious for some people, but for people who are more creative when it comes to gift giving, is specialty printed tissue paper for gift bags and specialty ribbons for gift wrapping needed to make gifts more decorative and different? Would you buy it (themed or printed tissue paper and ribbons) if it was available?

A gift store in Long Beach, CA with a website will be opening in November 2007! Wanna see what creative people like.

Yes, another baby blanket question! :-p

I was considering using Wool-Ease Chunky, which is I think a 50/50 blend of wool and acrylic. A friend of mine told me no wool anything because it would be too scratchy, but I was wanting more opinions.

Hello

This is a crochet pattern from a vintage pattern book for a sweater and I need help reading this para for shaping sleeves:

Shoulder Shaping:
*Sl St Across first 10 (11, 12, 8, 9, 10) sts; work in sc across row to within last 10 (11, 12, 8,9,10) sts. Don not ch; turn. Rep from * once more. For men's sizes only: Sl st across first (7.8,9,) sts, work in sc across row to within last (7,8,9) sts. Fasten off.

I'm confused especialy with "work in sc across row to witith last 10 (11, 12, 8,9,10) sts"
What does within last mean here?

Can you please help? I'm crocheting this sweater as a birthday surprize gift for my husband and I have only 5 days to finish it :(

I would like to know if anyone can provide me with some information and an estimated value of a Disney piece. It is a figure of Mickey Mouse dressed in a sorcerer's robe and hat, it stands approximately 1 1/2" tall, the underside is marked "Disney USA Fantasia 1940" and it is also marked "Hudson 4962 Fine Pewter" on the back of the robe along the hem.
I have not been able to locate any information on this particular piece and I would greatly appreciate any information, input, suggestions, etc... Thank you for your time!

I got this set while helping someone move. I have searched on the net, but didn't come up with anything. Can anyone tell me where I can find info. on these coins ? Thanks

I have old nickels just covered in copper-brown oxidation.

I"ve tried all kinds of things - lemon juice, coke, olive oil, distilled water, and on and on and nothing works.

Before you get all over me about the possibility of messing up the numismatic value - coins covered in rust colored guck don't have near as much numismatic value as you would think - even if they are XF in detail - how is the person going to see the coin through the stuff? I can tell that the coin has detail but if you put it on ebay - you woudn't get many more bids.

it might just be best to leave them as is, because it seems that most methods are just too harsh on the coins. I dont' want to ruin them.

most are V nickels - and most are xf details but covered in rust colored oxidation - quite heavy.
a few flying eagle cents also xf details, and a few 3 cent pieces. The flying eagles may be higher grade, but have the heaviest corrosion.

what should I do with these?

thanks
