It's a token of some kind. I'd need to see it in hand, but the inscription on the reverse is unknown in US coinage. Probably lacking in any intrinsic value.

The photos are not clear, but if the inscriptions say "George Washington born Feb 22, 1732, First in war, First in peace, First in the hearts of his countrymen, Unanimously elected first president died December 14, 1799" on one side and "1789 1797 George Washington First President of the United States" on the other then you have a GW commemorative medal, not a coin. There're lots of presidential medals around, privately issued to make money and most is worth about a dollar or so each.

It is a medal not a coin. From the looks of it, the color and script it is modern made. A lot of oil companies made such items to be collected in sets, one being Shell oil. Your medal could have been made anywhere from the early 1960's through the 1990's. The type you have indeed, sells for a dollar plus or minus. The images are not so good so maybe on it, is the company that made it or used it as a promo. George washington items are always collectable and a buyer can be found usually on, an on line auction.

Looks like Washington facing the wrong way but this photo could possibly be simply mirrored.
The worth, if even real, would depend upon who wants it and how much they are willing to spend on it. Error coins run about $50.oo but some collectors will pay more.
Happy collecting ; )

What's "real"? It may be collectible, but it's not money.
I didn't have a clear view, but it reminded me of the presidential coins packed in with packages of hot dogs back in the 1950's. Those were base metal and current value would depend on whether or not anyone else wanted one.
