I am looking to make a petticoat/skirt that looks like this:
http://www.kaiyaeve.com

I have found that this is very similar to a square dancing petticoat which I have found adult sized patterns for. I am looking for a pattern I can follow, or instructions if anyone has any for sizes 12mo-6x. Thanks!

I have created the website, Layden With Stitches. A free tutorial site devoted to teaching needlecrafters how to convert their photos to cross-stitch designs. I have a section on scanning but it needs work. Is there someone that can help explain the fundamentals of scanning better than I? The site is at

I'm attending a conference in a couple of weeks, and I want to put together portfolios. Does anyone know of an online site that has CD sleeves that I can basically peel off the back and stick it inside of a folder (or anything else)? I'm not sure exactly what they're called...

Thanks in advance.

I don't want to use glue, because I've heard it dosen't work well. Also, it probably wasn't used before 1900.

I got a whole set of sculpting chisels for Christmas and I don't know the proper way to sharpen them, especially the ones that have a curve. Does anyone know how to do this? I don't have a grindstone, just the simple big sharpening block. Thanks so much

I want small cubes that are magnetic. I also don't want perfect sqaure shapes. I want some that are cubicle in shape but uneven and rounded edges. I've seen people with them I just don't know what kind of store carries magnets like that. What kind of store would I look up?

My organization (APO) holds an annual Easter party for the faculty’s children of my university. I need some crafts and games for the kids to do that aren’t too messy and do not take a lot of time. Any ideas?

I am searching for tiny tiny plastic figurines, like animals or any kind of objects, for kids to make their own decorations for doll houses. I can't seem to find anything as tiny as they need, most of their ideas need the figurines to be 1/2" or under. Do they even make figurines that small to sell? If they do can you tell me where? I never imagined this being so difficult when the girls said they wanted to make the dollhouse and everything theirselves.

I'm new at scrapbooking and want to make one for my mom's 50th birthday, as well as a baby book for my son. I've started the baby book and the problem I'm running into is how to adhere the pictures, etc to the pages? I've tried double sided tape and glue stick, neither of which work very well...the baby book pages are not in a sleeve or anything, it's just the page, so whatever you put there has to stick pretty well or it's going to come off. Help...

I have to do a science fair project for school. The experiment was what fabric insulates the best, wet and dry (wool was by far the best wet, and wool and polyester were about even dry). I have to put together a board for the fair, and i need an attention getting name. It should have something to do with hypothermia, because that's the kind of reason for this--people need to know what fabric to wear in cold weather so they won't die of hypothermia. Anyways, my mom thought of "Hypothermia: be prepared or die" and i thought of "How to not die from Hypothermia" which i guess sounds kind of unprofessional. So, long story short, please give me suggestions!

Please help. I am doing a craft with some girls that are making a "sweet pea" pot for their parents/guardians for Valentines Day. We are planting sweet pea seeds in a 3 inch clay pot & decorating the outside of the pot, very cute. However, I need a little poem to go with it containing this information: they are sweet pea flowers, they need to be watered, they are going to smell sweet & Happy Valentines Day or something in that order. Something like "I'm just a little sweet pea, please be sure to water me...." I dunno, I'm not very poetic. If you good at doing this, please help. Thanks!

My little one and I like to make things every once and a while, I mentioned wanting a journal and she thought that sounded fun, so in order to save a little money I thought we'd try to make our own personalized journal just for her. What's the easiest way to do this?
