Decoupage! Decoupage them onto a coffee table or even your kitchen table, cover with a good varnish, the clerk at lowes will be able to tell you which one to use.
Or frame them and use them as wall decor.
If you are into scrapbooking, you could create a theme book with them.

In the 40's, there was a war on, so fabric was rationed and for a time afterwards it was scaarce. A lot of crafting was scrap craft, things you can do with little pieces or recycled clothes.
Ladies wore hats and some made theirs at home.
A ladies' craft concerns were all about home improvement and making something nice out of very little. Cushions and dolls and soft toys for children, hats, gloves and belts were all in McCall's and the Ladies Home Journal as wwell as knitting, crocheting.
