I am searching for tiny tiny plastic figurines, like animals or any kind of objects, for kids to make their own decorations for doll houses. I can't seem to find anything as tiny as they need, most of their ideas need the figurines to be 1/2" or under. Do they even make figurines that small to sell? If they do can you tell me where? I never imagined this being so difficult when the girls said they wanted to make the dollhouse and everything theirselves.

no, thats no typo, I really need things that tiny. The best thing I have found so far is tiny keys for scrapbooking, but thats the only thing I could find that would work

My first thought is to explore model railroading supplies. I know you could find items for exteriors that way. Maybe some animals, too, but not sure about interiors.

The only place I've seen any as small as one-half inch tall (is that a typo??), is the Mighty Max and Polly Pocket type of figures, and I think they're closer to 3/4". Don't know where you could buy those cheaply, but if you could find a few you could make molds of them (with polymer clay or two-part molding material, etc.), the make casts with polymer clay.

I think you might be better off painting wooden matches or something though if they really need to be that small!

King cake babies (sold inside king cakes in New Orleans this time of year) are that small. Call a New Orleans bakery...they would give you some for "educational purposes."
