What is the proper way to sharpen chisels on a sharpening stone?

I got a whole set of sculpting chisels for Christmas and I don't know the proper way to sharpen them, especially the ones that have a curve. Does anyone know how to do this? I don't have a grindstone, just the simple big sharpening block. Thanks so much

Sharpening your chisels properly is difficult, and not sharpening them properly affects the quality of your work dramatically. It requires the use of a jig.
