I'm new at scrapbooking and want to make one for my mom's 50th birthday, as well as a baby book for my son. I've started the baby book and the problem I'm running into is how to adhere the pictures, etc to the pages? I've tried double sided tape and glue stick, neither of which work very well...the baby book pages are not in a sleeve or anything, it's just the page, so whatever you put there has to stick pretty well or it's going to come off. Help...

Try using these things called "zots", you can find them at most scrapbooking stores/craft stores. They are dried glue dots which stick incredibly and are not messy at all!

My friend and I have done many things of scrapbooking. The best thing that we have found works is the double-sided tape if you use it all around the edges and you may thing and see at the time that it doesn't work very well but once the book is closed and if you put something heavy on top of it then it seems to adhere after it sits there. Some ides for your baby book and your mom's scrapbook you are making are some fun sayings and stuff that you can put under the pictures you can usually find a book of transfers with sayings at a craft store also the raised pictures and things you stick to the pages are a fun decoration as well. I really enjoy scrapbooking even though some times you run out of ideas and get frustrated just keep working on it or sometimes you need a break and then come back and you'll be surprised how much you come up with. I also learned that when you think of something when you are away from your scrapbooking, write it down right away or it is usually forgotten by the time you get back to your book. I wish you luck with your scrapbooking.

Check the kind of tape you are using. Make sure it is a permanent bond and you may want to put a piece on the photo and a piece on the paper and stick the two together. Just from my own experience, you may want to go ahead and buy a new book for the baby, one with the sleeves. They protect your pictures better and you don't have to worry about things catching on them and pulling them off. Have fun....I'm addicted.

I use Zig 2 way glue. As long as you adhere the picture while the glue is still wet, it ain't going nowhere after it dries.

I use the double stick tape that is cut into squares. I put one on each corner and one in the middle that way it stays very well.

I use Mono Adhesive. It comes in both permanent and temporary I also use sleeve so that the pages don't get all gummed up with finger prints and such.

I have mostly used boos and supplies from "Stampin Up" or "Creative Memories" supplies and find them quite good.

Good luck with you project and don't get discouraged.
