I'm going to lasercut a piece of acrylic in a star-petal shape and then bend the petals up to form a flower. What is the best tool to form the acrylic into a natural flower shape?
The oven doesn't work because I can't bend the piece fast enough before it cools and if i put it back in to reheat, it will revert back to a flat sheet.
I tried a heat gun but its a little slow and doesn't heat well. Sometimes I crack the acrylic.
Can I use a plumber's torch to do this? Will it burn the acrylic?
Can I just put the torch in a vice and leave it on continously while I heat and bend the acrylic at local points until im done?

I want to make a calendar (preferably with UK bank Holidays etc on it) for my Grandma. I just want something fairly basic with a space to put photos on each month/page. Does anyone know of a site where I can get a free template to insert my own photos into and then print? Thank you everyone!

I'm building a bridge for Physics I out of #8 spaghetti and Elmer's glue (the only allowed materials). Why was it suggested to me that I dry glued spaghetti with a hairdryer before it dries? What does that do as opposed to just glueing and letting it dry naturally?

We found the sewing machine with a desk and chair set also has all original parts extra needles and whatnot a warenty and manual with an ordering sheet (parts ranging from 5 cents to 25 cents) the machine works and seems to be in good condition. we found it in an old house my grandma just bought. the only thing we can see that is wrong is a little water damage on the desk leg. i've searched on the internet trying to find out what year it is or how much it's worth but i'm not gettin anywhere we also have the style and model numbers and what not also found in the desk drawer were some old paterns priced at 65 cents if anyone has a clue please let me know. Thank you!

i have been collectiong coins now for 10 years, my grandfather got me into it. only recently has my collection matured to some real value instead of consisting of everyday pocket change. and ive got a little of everything from pennies to dollars, im inot legal tendar only no commemratives, but i do collect american eagles

but heres my question, with the introduction of the Susan B Anthony & (SBA) in 79 it ran for three years before it was dropped as a failier, then in 2000 the Sacagewea $ (gold dollar, for collor not metal), now the mint has introdused a new dollar coin series to begin next year the Presidential coin series with four coins realeased each year in the order of presidents, starting with washington of course. now my question is with 2 previous $ coins released for circulation and both failing in public but not collectors, will this new one be a flop and with it looking like a medal not a coin will any one collect it, i dont think i will. heres a link to it
