It may have been done as a promotion associated with baseball. It's worth a penny.

Back during the 1960-1970's it was common to see stamped on the Lincoln side of the cent all kinds of things. From mules for the Democratic party, to a pipe. The list is very long. I have no idea if anyone did a book on it or not. It is not a mint item and was done outside the mint. There may even be a set out there some where with other players on them. They may have been a freebie at the baseball park. Finding initials goes way back to large cents as well as company names. I do know that during world war II that some cents had U.S. and an anchor on them for Navy guys. There are a few Army and Marine ones also. You may have a hard time tracking it down. Good luck. I have spent months tracking down some of the medals I buy, from time to time. The hunt is on!!

If a penny has been damaged in any way, such as stamping something on it, then it's worth at most a penny.
