Has anyone ever heard of (and knows the rules to) a card game called Fiord or Fjord? It is played with regular playing cards. Maybe even more than one deck. We used to play it all the time in high school but none of us can remember how to play.
Thanks!

On TV where cards are shown and the viewer knows all the cards of all players, is the viewer correct to say that the player,
who had a winning hand after the turn regardless of what the river is, that he got "the nuts"? Is this term only applicable to the best possible hand AMONG the players that are left.? Assuming there are 2 players left. Player 1 has a straight; player 2 has a pair after the turn, is it correct to say that player 1 has "the nuts" , meaning that he has the best possible hand AMONG the players left? Also is it correct to say that a "nut straight" or a "nut flush" that can NOT be beaten regardless of what the next community card is, is it also called "the nuts"?

Could someone give a suggestion and maybe explain why. I currently have a wind deck, anything you would recommend me having and not having. But the general idea is what particular type of cards you think are good. thanks

We have a weekly game thats been going for at least 1-1/2 years and all the players involved have been playing for at least 2. So the question we have is when one player announces a hand as a losing hand but someone else points it out as a winning hand who should get the chips the person who won without the correction or with? But the reason I ask is because one player in our game constantly gets away with announcing a losing hand and still getting chips when other players point out he has a winning hand so we have started a new rule that the hand you announce is the hand you play. Even though the rule has been in place it only affects other players and he still gets his chips back somehow after complaining or playing dumb(maybe being).
