No limit holdem is where you have to bet at least the set amount, but you can bet more if you want. Hope that helps.

I actually got my first poker lessons from Phil Hellmuth's DVDs a number of years ago. It was very solid basic strategy. I would look into them, or any of his books. Also, I recommend putting a REAL deposit into a poker site and playing the small stakes tables. You would be amazed how the level of skill increases when the blinds are 1c and 2c as opposed to play money. I would advise dropping 50 dollars or so into any poker site and sitting down at the lowest limit tables with 2-3 dollars at a time.

Here are some suggestions. Keep in mind, they all promote the fact that they are "not gambling sites", but for all practical purposes they are. They have "play money" options and "real money" options. Most, if not all, offer sign up bonuses. I personally prefer Bodog.com, it has the easiest method of transfering funds which are not affected by the new Internet gambling legislation.
So without further ado, if you want to play NL Texas Hold 'Em....
bodog.com
pokerroom.com
pokerstars.net
fulltiltpoker.com
doylesroom.com
partypoker.com
paradisepoker.com
and many, many more. Remember, keep gambling what it is, entertainment. Good luck!

Dude, entire books have been written on texas hold 'em, but you want someone to answer that here? Someone else asked for advice on when to raise and when to call. I provided a rather lengthy answer on NL hold 'em play for him. If you want, you can look up that answer under this category.
