Hi,
I can only tell you that I played 3 games with a friend on the computer and I never caught on. I just didn't get it. I suggest repeated playing but in a social if they have it so as not to lose your points.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS

If you have played hearts (the game on your computer) before...then it is pretty similar.
The best way, for me at least is to read the rules, and watch a few games played by your friends and then try a few games. Ask questions often and you will pick it up very easily.
explaining the rules and everything often takes longer than actually going out and practicing with your buddies.

easiest way to learn is by playing with people who know how...its easy to pick up by just playing, but reading the rules gets confusing...even for those of us who know the basics of the game.

Jacks are highest in trump cards (the jack of that suit is 1st then the jack of the same color, then ace, king............), everything else is just like Spades or Hearts (follow suit and try to win the trick).
