ebay has pretty much killed the market on the cards. IF these cards belong to a recent series... some series and cards are old and cannot be used in tournaments anymore, then find a local comic book store and ask if they hold gaming dates. A lot of the times the store will contact a player or "pokemon Gym leader" with your information and they will be able to help you from there.
Good luck. My son goes to Pokemon.com, i'm not sure if there is a section of this sight that is designated to finding league play or not.
