No. If it isn't the top card then you lost your chance, which was when it was discarded but before someone took the next card.

There are two ways to play. One way, which is more official, is that you can only draw from the top of the discard pile or from the deck. The other way says that if you draw a card in the discard pile that is not on the top then you must take all of the cards above the one you picked up.

I love that game and I do know how to play this one. Yes u can call rummy even if it's not on the top. this will help u.

Nooooooooooooooooo. You have to pick up to that card and then work to discard the extra cards before you rummy.

You can do it in GinRummy, but not regular rummy.
