I love See's candy butterscotch squares and I would like to make them at home instead of the 20 minutes drive to the mall. Anyone know of a recipie with a similar consistency. A slight sugar granual texture, but soft and melts in your mouth, a brown sugar maple flavor.

I know what the box says, but are they really healthier than a regular egg, seeing as they are "manufactured"?

extract? Most of my family doesn't like mint or spearmint so I need to make the candy in a fruity flavor like cherry. If I can use extract instead, would I use the same quantity that is called for when using oil? Thank You.
