It makes red meat stay looking fresh and retain it's red color almost indefinitely. Do you think that is a form of deception? The meat could be rotten and still look fresh.

Unforunately I wound up eating a section of the bar before I noticed somthing was wrong. I then looked down and in my hand, maggots were falling out of the wrapper. They had bored holes all thru the bar as well as the almonds. The people at the store did'nt even offer me my money back! Out side of being grosssed out and having a doctor tell me I am ok; all is well. I have lost my desire to eat chocolate and will never shop at that store again. Waiting for a call back from Hershey's. What would you do?

We're going to make chili, but my husband is allergic to green peppers. Can I swap green for red? I know it's okay in an uncooked dish or in a stove-top dish like omelets. But a stew is different. Do the red cook up differently?

I found this out a couple of years ago and have NEVER had a Fig Newton since.

If you made Fig Newtons for a living and you wanted to know how many insects could get into your Newtons without your getting into hot water with the FDA, you could look it up on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Defect Action Levels Web site. Here you would learn that fig paste is allowed to have up to 13 insect heads per 100 grams.

just this week, I paid $ 4.25 for a gallon of MILK! When I was a kid on my grandparents farm, one cow produced more milk than a family of 8 could consume. My grandmother made cheese, butter, and then she GAVE milk away!

$ 4.25 a gallon for milk--is anyone else outraged?
