My dad grew up eating C-ration canned bread in the mid-60s. My grandmother use to buy them at Sunbeam bakery. I'm hoping to get a description of the taste and texture so i can try to recreate it for him. All I can get out of my dad is that it was dense bread that was delicious. Thanks for any help. (P.S. they no longer make this bread, the tins you buy on ebay is vintage bread, I'm wanting edible bread) :)
At the moment I am trying to contact Sunbeam's mother company. For those who remember the bread, could you describe it to me, please? (sweet, dry, flavorless, buttery, yeasty, eggy, etc) Thanks for all your answers.
