I totally know what you mean. I love fatty foods like french fries and pizza. They are my fave! I am trying to cut back now though....

Its sucks and it sucks real bad! If you're a boy then yeah I can imagine you can eat the whole pizza (I've got plenty of male friends and family members who do just that). However everything is okay in moderation. But if you just don't think you can handle only one or two slices of pizza here and there maybe if you eat healthy for the whole week and then pick a day to be naughty if may be okay. But maybe watching an episode of Dr. Oz on oprah may help change your eating habits.

hell yes it sucks, but how can you possibly eat a whole pizza? To solve the problem, order by the slice, invite a few friends over before you order, or eat a salad before or with your meal. I know it is hard to resist the fatty goodness, but if you do only eat one slice, you will actually end up feeling better later.

Hello:

I know that I will probably get flamed for saying this, but I agree with you 100%. I mean did you know that a serving of ice cream is only a 1/2 cup? Heck, give me a half gallon of ice cream and I can guarantee you that I would eat more than a 1/2 cup! I know that these portion sizes are considered to be ideal, but come on now,who has ever gotten full after a small piece of meat the size of a deck of cards,a 1/2 cup of veggies,a 1/2 cup of fruit and one cup of milk? Not me!

I admit that I LOVE junk food the greasier the better for me! So go ahead and let me clog my arteries with cheese, grease and fat,and I am a very happy camper! ;-)

So what's the problem?

If you're hungry enough to eat a whole pizza, your body is *telling* you something.

You don't get fat from eating fat foods any more than you get tall from eating tall foods. Your body's fat organ deals with stress - and if you overwork it, it gets enlarged, permanently, the same as overworking your liver causes it to be enlarged permanently, and overworking your heart causes it to be enlarged permanently.

If you overeat - which is not the same thing as eating because you're hungry - your body will temporarily retain water. The weight will come right back off again, though, all by itself. Ask any skinny person - trying to gain weight by eating more food is incredibly difficult.

Your body has a system for dealing with excess amounts of food, and it works really well. For most people, less than 10% of the calories they eat is absorbed; the rest of the calories are contributed to the plumbing system. All it takes for that system to work correctly is enough wet fiber in your diet.

So order a pizza. The pizza sauce is good for your heart.

The reason those foods taste so great is that they contain lots of fat (great taste but highest calories) and sugars (also yummy but almost as fattening).

Cooks and food manufacturers know that people buy what tastes good not what is healthy so they load in all that unhealthy delicious ingredients. That is the part that sucks - being always tempted like that.

Fatty foods are supposed to taste the best. It's a genetic thing we inhereted from our ancestors, because we needed it to survive scarce food supplies.
Our genetic gene pool hasn't had enough time to evolve for the foods of plenty.
In the mean time indulge a little , you're only human after all.

It totally sucks.

I never saw a grown person eat only one slice of pizza.

You're right, the worst stuff tastes the best. But in the long run, you get to eat more of it because of the number of days added to your life.

You are so right! Just drink a hot coffee before or lots of water with your food to cut back.
