I always see gold leaf used on cakes and chocolate desserts etc. Is it only that there is so little that it does not effect your system, or is it actualy edible? are there any health effects from eating alot of it?

It is edible.

What is a lot? It should be fine in small quantities. I don't think we really eat a lot of it to start out with... probably a little leaf every few years.

It is edible, not recommended to eat a whole bunch at a time though but it wont hurt in small quantities. Goldschlauger also has gold flakes in it, hasn't hurt me yet.

I think you're not supposed to eat that.
