Don't form the ground beef into a patty. Break up the hamburger with a spatula as you fry it. That way, ALL the meat is cooked to your specification, and it isn't rare in the center.

Bacon and Roquefort Stuffed Burgers
INGREDIENTS
2 pounds ground beef
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
4 ounces Roquefort or other blue cheese, crumbled
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
1 tomato, sliced
1 red onion, sliced
4 leaves lettuce
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, lightly mix the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and pepper. Divide into 8 equal portions and flatten each one into 1/4 inch thick patty. In a separate bowl, combine the crumbled bacon, Roquefort cheese and thyme. Place an equal portion of the bacon mixture onto 4 of the patties. Top with the remaining 4 patties, pressing the edges together to enclose the filling. Preheat a grill for medium heat. When hot, lightly oil the grate. Grill the patties for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Serve immediately on toasted buns, topped with tomato, onion and lettuce.

***You can substitute bleu, Gorgonzola, or feta for the Roquefort cheese. ENJOY!!!

there are many ways to spice up a burger, get creative. try different cheeses, or put the cheese on the inside, form the patty around the cheese. just get in the kitchen and go wild, you will be suprised at what all you can come up with.

I either add worcestershire sauce while cooking the burger or this may sound crazy but sometimes I have a fried egg on top of it, don't knock it till you try it.

add crumbled bacon, or minced onions. If you like garlic mince some garlic. Add pepper to the mix.....I personally don't like egg in burgers. You can place a chunk of cheese in it. Mrs. Dash is good too, and that Montreal spice mix.

I put in 1 egg for every package of meat you use. I also try not to press my burger too much so the juices don't run out of it.

well, if you like bacon, I would suggest making a bacon cheeseburger. If you don't like pork, ths recipe is pretty good without the bacon

1. one pack on dry onion soup mix, dry cream of mushroom soup mix or dry ranch dressing mix (just pick one, any brand, they're all good)
2. one pound of ground beef (top shelf beef makes a better burger (I like Kobe)
3. cooked bacon crumbles
4. cheese crumbles (the cheese depends on what kind of sauce you are using as a topping. use bleu if you are not using sauce. use cheddar if you are using barbecue sauce, provolone and swiss are good too)

mix with hands.

form into round patties...you don't want flat patties, but you don't want round balls either

grill and serve with your choice of toppings. (I like mixed greens instead of lettuce, onion straws and barbecue sauce on a hard roll)

add 1 egg and 4 tbsp steak sauce and some salt and pepper to each pound of hamburger mix well and make patties then push a pat of real butter into the middle and seal it in then grill on a charcoal grill....mmmm brush the inside bun with olive oil and brown in a skillet. add your favorite condiments I like avocado and tomato slices.
