How come Crumpets only seem to appear in the shops during the colder months?

I was about to add "edible ones" but that would open up a complete new thread!!

The US has been eating genetically modified foods for the past 12 years. Research on these foods has shown a high probability of allergic reactions and problems with digestion and intestional disorders. The FDA labels these foods,"generally regarded as safe", or GRAS. Europe, many Asian countries, and Japan do not want these foods. Japan is watching our health statistics. As it stands right now, the health of the US is falling at an alarming rate. The people who are living longer did not live on GMO foods. We now have a 12 yr. old generation being raised on these foods. All canola oil, from Canada, is from genetically modified plants. All, high fructose corn syrup, is from genetically modified corn. Mexico is fighting to not have GM corn brought into the country. There has been no increase in crop size and food quality because of GM farming. The only increase has been in profits and the control of the food chain by the giant agra companies. Look up GMO foods on the internet.

Me and some friends were wondering this, so here goes:
How are toothpicks made to have that minty taste? Are they soaked in some sort of solution?

Just wondering. Thanks.

We purchased, at an Estate Sale, a set of Copper pots and pans. They are stamped "1810 Paul Revere." They appear to be solid copper on the outside, stainless steel on the inside, with brass handles. There are 3 sauce pans w/ lids, a saute pan and a skillet. Are they meant to be decorative? What is their value? Are they good pans (if indeed they are stainless steel on the inside) for cooking. Thank you for any information.

I would vote for M&M's. They're more chocolatey, and that's what I like. Smarties are more hard candy shell which can be nice for a change, but not on a regular basis.
